There are many words to describe Sister Diana, but one that comes to mind as I reflect is beauty. She was a beautiful soul, and every time I was in the room with her, she made the space more beautiful just by her presence.
While I was serving as the Social Services Program Manager, I remember a lunch we had together celebrating the interns at dear Mary’s house. Diana came and graced us with her wisdom, encouragement, and humility. I don’t think anyone could ever leave Diana’s presnece without a sense of feeling empowered and better because you had been with her.
My heart is grieved at a beautiful life lost so soon. Thank you Diana for the impact of your faith, conviction for justice, and the elevation of the survivor voice. You will be missed by all and I’m so thankful to have known you.
